College
Located only 1/2 mile from the campus of Grove City College, and only a few miles more from Slippery Rock University, college students have often found a home-away-from-home at FCC. Our approach to college ministry has been to invite students to participate in the life of the body of Christ, to invest in one another, and to walk and work alongside the church.
Growth
Students are a vibrant part of the gathered worship of FCC. We also invite students to participate in the Sunday school hour. Our youth and young adult class is currently studying the Life and Writing of C.S. Lewis in the Education Building following the service. Students are encouraged to get to know the families of FCC in order to build the kinds of relationships that extend beyond Sunday mornings.
Likewise, college students are always welcome to participate in our men’s and women’s studies which take place throughout the year. The women meet on Sunday evenings, and the men on Wednesdays.
Service
College students are traditionally very active in the FCC family. We want to be a training ground for students who want to grow as part of the body and prepare to become invested members in a church family after their collegiate experience comes to a close. As such, we frequently have students participating in:
- Welcome Team
- Worship Team
- Sound & A/V Team
- Nursery
- Toddler Room
- Kiddos Church
- Youth Ministry
- Outreach Events
- Building & Grounds Team
There is no ministry that is off-limits for the students. We encourage all to exercise their gifts and passions in service of the Lord. We are thankful for the many contributions that shape the ministries of the church.
